[Boy this seems awfully familiar! However, this time Maoh isn't exactly planning on using Kanji's gear as a pool floaty. ~~Thank goodness somebody learned his lesson!~~ But anyways-- as per usual, Maoh accidentally hit one of the buttons that records things. He stops with what he was doing and leans in to the screen. However, he's no longer the cute and adorable Pichu he used to be when Kanji first got him. Some time after recovering from his pool adventure he and Kanji had a little heart-to-heart conversation that ended up with him evolving into a Pikachu towards the end.

Anyways--!!! Once finished pressing all the buttons he wanted to press he wanders on over to Kanji, who is currently sitting with a lap full of fluffy yarn on the floor in his room. Maoh pays him no mind since he's busy making things.

Next to him is that Meowth egg he bought from Kyou a while ago. ~~(And even though it should have hatched a while ago-- Iiii kind of forgot he bought one. oops orz;;)~~ The egg has a tiny little yarn hat on the top of it's....shell???!!! Curiously, Maoh approaches it and touches it lightly.]

[And at that time the egg lights up (aka dis egg be hatchinnn bitchessss!!!) Kanji and Maoh give each other a weird wide-eyed look before turning their attention back to the hatching egg.]

And-- well not--not exactly like this! But something along the lines of it. With the... with the technology and junk. Some games are handhelds, which is something you can hold in your hand and play on the go. But a lot of them are stationary and need to plug into a tv in order to play the games.

Oh man. Digletts were pretty awesome in the video game. Haven't actually run into one in this place yet....

I started out with a Pichu that just recently evolved into a Pikachu.

Were they also as small and mysterious? As I've noticed, it's less than a foot tall.

A Pichu? What kind of pokémon is that?

[he nods.] Pretty much, yeah.

It's an electric type pokémon. They kinda look like mice. Maoh, c'mere a sec. [and with that a bright yellow looking rodent with a lightening bolt shaped tail scampers up to his trainer.] This isn't a Pichu, but this is what they look like once they evolve. So-- I guess picture this a little shorter and more pastel yellow-looking.

How cute. [And small.] It's a good thing having a cat and a mouse together doesn't seem to be a problem for you.

[you took the words right out of his mouth ;u;] Yeah. And it would be, probably. If Maoh were still a Pichu, then yeah I'd be a little cautious. But Maoh knows how to take care of himself.

So it's more worrisome for the feline rather than the rodent? Interesting.

Well they're about the same height wise-- anyways... Pichus are a bit smaller than Pikachus

It's like pitching a cat against a rabbit--- or an electric hare.

Heh, yeah.

Though I assume both of them will continue to evolve, won't they? What if the cat outgrows the rabbit?

Well Pikachu needs a stone to continue to evolve. But yeah, I think Mewoth gets bigger in his next evolution.

How does one use a stone to evolve? That's a rather odd thought, isn't it?

Yeah, it's pretty weird sounding, but they make certain stones for certain evolutions. Like, in order for my Pikachu to evolve it'd need to hold a Thunderstone. For a Gloom to evolve into a Bellossom it'd need to hold a Sun Stone, or, if you want it to be a Vileplume it'd need to hold a Leaf Stone.

I wonder if it works because of magic. It certainly isn't scientific in any way I could think of.

It... maybe...? I dunno, I never really stopped to think about it.
