Seventh Punch

[For tonight's entertainment Maoh will be attempting to use Kanji's gear as a surf board! He toddles his way on over to the pool but before he's able to use the device as a floaty he slips on a tiny puddle and falls in instead. Unfortunately, as the gear is on the ground all the viewers can see is the sky above. Though-- if you listen carefully you can hear the Pichu's small, yet frantic splashing. However, as time goes on the splashing noises start to decrease.

A couple of minutes pass as a dark blur zooms by the gear and a big splash is heard a few seconds after. Up pops on the screen is a very wet, very out of breath, very disgruntled looking Kanji.]

D-Dammit Maoh. I--I told you to stay away from the pool.

[The small Pichu he has in his lap looks a bit lifeless. Though it may look bleak, Maoh is breathing. He pushes his damp bangs out of his face.]

S-Shit... I hope it's... not to late. I don't... I don't even know what to do. [by this point it looks like he's going to have a panic attack.] Those.... those c-centers would help, right? Shit why did this have to happen!?

[He really does feel legitimately bad right now.] C-come on, you can't think like that, right? Maoh's gonna be fine.

[he shakes his head.] Y-Yeah... I can't think like that.

action; damn right it will.

[skillspanner]

There's no reason to. [Of course, he's worried, but he's trying his best to not be pessimistic.] Come on, go get some dry clothes on before you get yourself sick, man. I'll change and we'll head down to the Center, yeah?

[craftingrebel]

No, it'll just take too long if I change. I gotta-- I gotta get down there!

action;

[At the risk of getting his ass kicked, he smacks Kanji in the back of the head.]

So you end up sick and everyone including Maoh worries about you? Don't be an idiot, Kanji! [What. Yosuke, what are you doing.] It'll only take a minute to change - we'll be at the Center in like, ten minutes, dude.

action;

[craftingrebel]

[Not really expecting the head smack, his upper body moves forward slightly. A few minutes after the initial shock happens he turns around.]

Ten minutes could be too late!!

action;

Don't be an idiot, you idiot! [Eloquent, Yosuke.] Just go change - we're wasting more time this way! Ten minutes won't be too late, so stop freaking out and just do it!

action;

[craftingrebel]

[He bites his lower lip before turning around and running past Yosuke. He was right on the fact that they were wasting time arguing about not changing. So with that, he ran to his room to change as quick as he could. A few minutes later he's waiting down stairs acting antsy as fuck.]

[Yosuke emerges from his own room less than a minute later, and he's dressed properly and ready to haul ass this time.]

Come on, let's go - Garula should probably just be getting there now.

action;

[huh, what's that you're saying senpai? With a quick nod as soon as Yosuke opened his mouth he ran out the door. Eat his...dust???!!!]

action;

[skillspanner]

Geez--! [Okay, okay. Running after and trying to catch up. Holy shit.] Y-You could've waited another seven seconds, you know!!

action;

[craftingrebel]

That'd waste time! Sorry senpai! [and he's runnannnnnn ahhhh]

[It doesn't take much for him to catch up, trailing just a couple of feet behind.]

J-Just warn me before you're gonna take off like that next time!

action;

Alright fine! [still running-- oh lookit, the center! Kanji slows down to a stop in front of the doors. His fingers twitch slightly by his side as he momentarily freezes up.]

[Stopping abruptly behind him, not expecting that.]

Dude...? [You rushed here to stop in front of the door why would you do that.]

[craftingrebel]

[HE CAN'T HELP IT OKOK? He jumps slightly, not really expecting to hear Yosuke's sudden remark as to why he stopped.]

W-What? [look, nothing wrong here! And with that he tugs on the door harshly.]

action;

[skillspanner]

N-nothing, never mind.

[He cocks his head to the side slightly. What the hell was that about?? Whatever Yosuke, not important right now. Inside. Let's go.]

action;

[craftingrebel]

[As soon as he stepped inside he slowly but surely made his way over to one of the Nurses and started asking her questions and whatnot. A couple of minutes later he walks back looking more depressed than he did when he was back at the house.]

She said that he got here in time, but she can't tell me more than that since he's still in the ER.

action;

[He'd waited as patiently as he could, arms folded and tapping his foot - until he saw Kanji's expression. His own instantly crumbled a bit too, but...]

He-- He's gonna be fine, dude. He'll be good as new in no time.

action;

[craftingrebel]

Yeah-- I just... [he looks to the side as he jams his hands into his pockets.] I just don't wanna lose him too.

action;

[skillspanner]

You're not-- [But he doesn't finish, catching the end of that and looking over to him with a bit of confusion.] Wait, "too?"

action;

[craftingrebel]

[he nods.] I lost my old man when I was younger.

action;

[skillspanner]

O-oh, crap-- [For some reason he didn't expect that at all. His eyes widen a bit, though his expression is still somber.] S-sorry dude. I had no idea.

action;

[craftingrebel]

's not your fault, man. It's not like I walk around tellin' people about it. The only ones who know are Souji-senpai, and now you and Rise.

action;

[skillspanner]

O-oh... [He falls silent for a second. There's something about that statement that has a bit more weight to it. But that could make things weird quick, huh? So, backpedaling a bit.] We-well, you're... you're not, okay? Gonna lose Maoh, I mean.

Just... sit down. I'll go get a couple of drinks from the vending machine, okay?
